What aeroplane?
I've an interest but I'm not a spotter.....
Boarding at both Gatwick and Marco Polo last week I noticed an aircraft in B.A. livery that I didn't recognise. It doesn't seem to appear on the "our fleet" part of the B.A. website. About the size of an A319 and had a "pointy" nose rather like a Comet. TIA. |
BA CityFlyer E190?
|
Embraer EMB-170 or 190. BA CityFlyer operate both.

Thanks folks.

Why the rolling of eyes DH? The OP did mention that they were not a spotter. Personally, I found Sobelena's reply a tad more comprehensive.

Yes, the good old Embraer family, great jets to fly on imo, they virtually killed off the A318. When the OP mentioned the nose my first thought was the Dornier 328 (Cimber Air) but in BA colours https://aviation-spotting.com/aviati...er-do-328-jet/, but they aren't seen so often on the main routes within Europe.

Flew to Warsaw on a Lot operated Emb 195 in 2011.
Found it very pleasant (apart from cabin service; bloody salmon sandwiches and no second choice and I hate fish) with comparatively large windows making it very light and roomy (4 abreast seating). |
