Easy Jet tail fin by Hangar lane
Saw this the other day, anyone tell me the history- is it a real ex Boeing 737?
|
Ooh, that's interesting! Was it a 737 or A320 family tail fin ? Perhaps a mockup used in a TV commercial ?
|
It's real - the rear fuselage of a scrapped former Ansett B733, later a CEX QC, outside the EasyBus depot. It arrived there in February last year, painted in EZY colours although it never actually flew with the airline.

They've even got the 01582 Luton dialling code on it as per the Original 2 732's
I don't think a -300 ever sported 01582, the phone number was 0990 29 29 29 by the time the 300's came along, before they got this thing called internet. |

Would that be Hanger Lane on the North Circular by any chance?
Here's where it can be seen (the orange dot): https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....ba9a0175e1.jpg Head Office easyBus |
