source of recent ATC conversations?
Is there a source of recent (last 24 hours) ATC conversations? I'd like to listen to what was going on on SFO ground at around 2030 PST yesterday (17/1).
Why? A very curious situation. My flight to Sydney was delayed by 24 hours due to a lightning strike. So QF had two flights leaving within a shot time, both with the same flight number (74). I'd assumed that one would actually fly under another number, say 9074, but no, they really did try to dispatch them both as QF74. I know because we held for a while on the taxiway while they sorted it out, the FO announced that. We ended up flying as 74D. But I would love to hear the conversation. |

On this page there are links to the various ATC sources at SFO, Ground, Dpeartures, Twer etc: https://www.liveatc.net/search/?icao=sfo Kelvin |
I'm surprised that the problem arose at all. When I was on an American flight that was delayed to the next the day callsign rolled-over to AAL90D automatically after ( presumably ) midnight and we all received texts / e-mails about it.

I had that happen once. We were held up on a flight that was supposed to stop over and then continue on the same flight number. The company decided to put another aircraft on the second part of the journey, and luck would have it we both called in with the exactly same callsign in the same sector, one approaching, one departing. After a few initial seconds the controller simply told one of us we would henceforth be known as "mickey mouse" in his sector and that was sorted.
