British Airways, historical flight information (Concorde)

Hello,

Myself and my dad went to visit Concorde Alpha Fox the other day and we got to talking about his single Concorde flight back in the early 1990's (he thinks). He's interested to find out which airframe operated that flight but he does not know the date, or even the year I'm afraid. I wondered if anyone that works (or maybe worked) for BA could advise a course of action?

If he were to contact the right person at BA, would they be able to provide the date and flight number at least? Does anyone know if BA would be motivated to help in this day and age of call centres and telephone scripts? So far, no joy.

Many thanks in advice

Maybe helpful if you stated departure and arrival airport.

That could well help if it was a charter to an unusual destination (contacting the local spotters at the airport concerned could well be worthwhile).

If it was a scheduled flight there's no chance, in the absence of a date, of establishing which aircraft it was.

The Data Protection Act requires that personal data (such as passenger lists) is not kept longer than it is needed. What use might there be for passenger data that is some 20+ years old, apart from answering this sort of question? I suspect that BA disposes of such records after a fixed period - the cost of maintaining computer records in a readable form, given changes in software and hardware over the years, probably outweighs any benefit to the company (unless, of course, there is a legal requirement to keep it).

Sorry if this is disappointing - I'd be interested to know the date of my Trident flight in G-ARPG from ZRH to LHR in the summer of 1971, but I can't imagine the data is available at this distance in time.

Even if it was, you would probably need to be a bit more precise re the date than just "summer".

Many thanks all. It was a scheduled flight from JFK to LHR so as about as routine as it could be with respect to BA Concorde. :) I guess I was buoyed by the fact that BA seem to list all Executive Club related flights back to the early 1990's when he joined. He thinks it may have been shortly before he joined but I can fully imagine that the information on there is from a separate source than historical pax data.

I'll tell him that he could try to contact BA directly to see if they can help but that he should keep his hopes low! In the unlikely event that we find out, hopefully it was B-BOAE and I can offer to escort him to Barbados to visit her. :p

Much appreciate the replies. Thank you.

I was looking for the same reasons. Somewhere along the line someone sent me an Excel of a Concorde flight database, giving dates, flight numbers, and aircraft reg. Sadly there's a gap in the data covering my area of interest. It seems to cover 1975 to 2003. Happy to send it if it helps.

This is an old topic dating a few years back, but there are some concorde enthusiast sites that hold some info, eg Sélection vols
Unfortunately, the data is very limited, and eg JFK-LHR flights only consist 41 rows of which only one from the 90's.

btw, that site is rather interesting as it contains info on the crew and other specs, too.

Is it possible he still has his old passport which will show details of date etc?

While we are at it, could I please pose this question again?

Many thanks for any information.

I never received a reply from artee. Maybe you're still out there and able to help? I spoke to my dad again the other day and I think we managed to narrow it down to a few options.

April 5th 1990
November 20th 1991
18th February 1992
18th February 1996

It was BAW002 from JFK to LHR. If by some miracle all these were operated by the same airframe, We'd be a little closer! :O

Found this which may help heathrow-archives-1990

Many, many thanks Musket90! That's indeed a great help! :O
