Thomson brs/SID

Purely out of curiosity does the crew doing brs/side have a nightspot over as it would be a long old day too do both sectors, rods brs planespotter

Depends how long the sectors are. What does "SID" mean in the heading please?

DaveReidUK 26th May 2017 17:29

I assume the OP means the service from BRS to Sal (Cape Verde).

In that case, the scheduled block time each way is a tad under 6 hours, with a one hour turnround, so it would indeed be a bit tight for one crew.

I'm not sure what the "nightspots" there are like. :O

BRS-SID is weekly on Fridays on B757-200 (on B787-8 from summer 2018).

Departs BRS 1420 and returns to BRS 0245 (Saturday morning) - total time 12 hours 25 minutes.

Both LGW & BRS operate there and back,

BHX, MAN & GLA to SID all nightstop.

All crews to BVC nightstop

Of course the fact that the BRS-SID-BRS rotation turns round without nightstopping doesn't necessarily mean it's the same crew that operates both legs.
