Aircraft at Cranfield?

I happened to drive past Cranfield airfield the other day, and in the distance I noticed the distinctive British Airways tail. Does anyone know what type this was and what it might be doing here?

Are there any sort of scheduled/charter services that operate out of the airfield?

Probably G-DOCB British Airways Boeing 737 lands at Cranfield University - BBC News

I noticed on the live coverage of Captain Tom’s flypast a couple of glimpses of Cranfield. I assume the 737 is the one mentioned in the above post from 3 years ago but I thought I spotted a couple of 146’s. Did I?

Wan't there an ex-BA Trident at Cranfield at one time?

Yes there was a Trident but broken up and gone now
The ex BA 737 is still there, its wearing CRANFIELD UNIVERSITY titles alive and well - its parked next to a new terminal building which is being put together for teaching R & D purposes
There are several 146s at Cranfield including the FAAM research aircraft and several in storage parked around the perimeter including what looks like a Formula 1 team airframe looking very smart. Not as many as there were at one time.
Surprised during the crisis as to why there aren't more narrow bodies parked or storage there.

Thanks Bristolre, last time I was there was for the PFA circa about 1994 - but it's probably an earlier PFA event I'm recalling!

The Formula 1 146/RJ went to Cranfield for it's annual maintenence in the middle of February, I guess it's now stuck there but they won't be using it yet anyway!

theres quite a few relics parked by the landside fence (nearest to University campus) various small twins and singles as well a lot of these clearly wont fly again.
There are a fair few VIP/exec/bizjet visitors in from time to time which make it interesting.
The Formula 1 "146" is a nice looking airframe and I think it has the racoon eyes as well around the windshield. As I say there were loads of stored 146s incl. Cityjet airframes at one but a lot seem to have gone now.
The Airbus "future propulsion efan" RJ/146 G-WEFX was there, not sure if its in one of the hangers now.
