Spitfire mishap

Just heard on the radio that an HGV transporting a WW2 Spitfire along the A3 in Surrey has hit a tree and is blocking the road…. Hopefully no one injured and that the venerable old girl isn't damaged. Anyone know from where to where it was going ?

Looks more like one of those plastic replicas in this photo, rather than a real Spit:

From Mark12 on Flypast:

It looks to be Terry Arlow's beautifully crafted metal replica 'MK805' SH-B.

I've seen this replica at Duxford and it is magnificent. Great shame, hope any damage is superficial.

It's this one, in fact:

Hopefully the fact that it's made of formable metal, any dents and so on can be hammered/pulled out. What a labour of love to have constructed that without major engineering assistance….Any news on the occupants of the towing vehicle ?

No injuries, but as per photos in the above article, some damages to the rear of the fuselage/tail section.
