I want a virgin 747 nose shot kinda from the side but still from the front but with the full plane in the background..if that makes sense lol. has anyone got a decent one I could use? I've put the kinda pic I want in an album on here ;) xxxx |

Have you tried the following aviation image websites? Pages and pages of images.
Photo Search Results | Airliners.net Virgin Atlantic Photos | Airplane-Pictures.net https://www.planespotters.net/Aviati...ubtype=747-400 Photos of Virgin Atlantic Airways - Plane Mad |

Have you thought about contacting Virgin directly and asking for such a photo? For such a 'unique' endeavour they might think of it as a decent PR opportunity.
Or they might run a mile. Does no harm to ask. |
Would you like something like these?
Ship Photos, Container ships, tankers, cruise ships, bulkers, tugs etc Ship Photos, Container ships, tankers, cruise ships, bulkers, tugs etc I can let you have non-watermarked copies if you like. |

Write to Richard B directly - knowing him, it's something he might go for.

Are you being sarcastic ? VIR ? A380 ? Don't think so ! Cue a deluge of no doubt richly deserved 'you don't know what you're talking about' comments from fellow Ppruners  |
Well, it has been generally accepted for quite some time that VIR have absolutely no intention of taking the A380. I have no definitive knowledge of what the airline intends to do but, the delivery of this a/c has been postponed more than once & this tends to support the "general acceptance".
Certainly, some members of VIR staff are definite in their statements that the A380s are history. Wait & see, I suppose. |
I've found a picture of a virgin plane for you...

Am showing my lack of aviation knowledge here, but merely assumed that they'd want something of equivalent carrying capacity when the time came to replace their 747s. :=

I would have thought VIR would find the A380 easy to fill on LHR-JFK and/or LAX routes. I thought they had some tentative orders for some. Is that no longer the case?
|
You could say the same for BAW on 'LL to KJFK - yet they don't use the 380 on the route. On the face of it, there are plenty of airlines & routes which could take the a/c. One of them is VIR, but they have re-scheduled their order for six several times & show absolutely no intention of ever taking them. Word from within the airline confirms this likelihood.
The 380 must be the a/c which airlines who have them most begrudge having ! Except UAE. |
Having said that, Willie Walsh appears to be interested in second-hand A380s for BAW, IBE & even Aer Lingus. I recently flew on 2 UAE 380s & they are great a/c. I continue to keep my fingers crossed that new orders will materialise - but I'm not holding my breath !
