Thomsom/Monarch/Flybe Regy/Flightradio Spots

Hi Guys,
Just took a very pleasant flight EXT-ALC this week on G-FBEH.
Probably 80% full, hope to take a few more 195 flights before they go.
I think at the moment G-FBEG/H/I/J/N are the only ones in service.
Are any 195's flying through the winter or is it game over once the Summer schedules finnish? I've tried calling and writing to their Exeter office but never get a reply so perhaps someone on here may know something concrete. I live at Eastleigh, so I'm handy for SOU where FBEG/I are currently based. Cheers

ksmd11,

As per reply #403 by OltonPete a week or so ago, he states the E195 is due to operate from SOU this winter to; Alicante, Malaga, Amsterdam (4x), Manchester (2x) and Dublin (1x) so plenty of chances still.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the Summer 2015 schedule will be released, which per the airlines responses on Twitter is sometime during October. Will these new ex-Republic Q400s be taking up the slack from what the E195s are doing.

Dear members,

Does anyone know where G-BYAT is going after it leaves Tom this winter?
Does anyone know about the date it will be WFU?

kind regards
Alasdair adam

G-BYAT is due to leave the fleet mid-December 2014, so couple of months left. 20.8 years after it was originally delivered from Mr Boeing into the fleet and I think is the last aircraft in (very faded) "Thomsonfly" livery

peterhr 17th Oct 2014 09:14

It's leased from ILFC, so it'll be returned to the lessor who will probably park it in the desert until someone has a use for it.

This is what happened to g-oobk - she rested in a desert in the USA for a while and is now back in Europe flying for Blue Panorama of Italy

G-BYAT

Dear peterhr,clipstone1 &all,

Thank you for the update on G-BYAT ,
I agree it does look very faded and looks like it has been touched up a little paint wise,
Will they lease an extra 738 to replace this 752?

Kind regards
Alasdair adam

G-OBYG was working out of Birmingham on short haul operations on the 16th. First time for a while isn't it that a 763 was on sh from there?

clipstone1 20th Oct 2014 09:21

Alasdair, the last B738 due into the TOM fleet was delivered in Spring 2014 (G-TAWU) the next addition to the narrowboady fleet is not until Feb 2018 when the first B737-8MAX is due to arrive.

Infact from Spring 2015, the fleet is largely static until 2018 other than the usual TOM/SWG summer winter swaps.

Does anybody know when YE will be returning from Arke? Presumably when PH-TFL gets delivered next month

peterhr 22nd Oct 2014 17:37

on the 787 line, #291 was to be G-TUIH, it's now going to TUI Nordic .. G-TUIH is not on the build list ... anyone got more info?

787Heaven 22nd Oct 2014 22:27

G-TUIH

Line #281 was to be TUIH I believe, that slot is now taken up by Arke's final Dreamliner PH-TFM. It may be because Thomson will be operating TUI Nordics dreamliner(s) during the summer in the UK so too much dreamliner capacity maybe?

clipstone1 23rd Oct 2014 13:29

TUIH is still going to be delivered in May 2015. PH-TFM is also due for delivery in approx March 2015.

The TUIfly Nordic B788 that is due for summer 2015, will now be delivered to Thomson and will operate shorthaul for summer 2015.

There is no need for Thomson Airways (note Thomsonfly ceased to exist in 2008) to operate all of the B788, since within the next few weeks the TUI airlines will be able to swap the 787s between the TUI airlines who operate the type within a planned 2 hour window, regardless of the country the aircraft is registered in.

LS 152

Dear all members

Is anyone aware why LS 151/2 738 G-GDFX has diverted to Bjv instead of landing in Dlm?
doesnt seem to be any weather issues at DLM as flights are arriving and departing to time apart from 2x jet 2 the glasgow and the manchester delayed until 15:00tomorrow turkish time.
2Monarch gone to rhodes with same delay times
But otherwise everything good at dlm the bjv-gla flew home and landed early G-GDFD 738 abd arrived same time as 152 from gla and was scheduled just after the bjv one

Kind regards
Alasdair adam

Weather related....Thunder storms

The a/c is going to be 9M-XXM with substitute a/c 9M-XXC both RR powered.
Those a/c are configured 12J 365Y. I wonder what LS will do with the 12 business class seats (which form rows 1 and 2). Probably sell them at standard extra-legroom seat rates I guess.

G-ZBAA - No Idea Why!
G-ZBAB - No Idea Why!
because vanity orders like these ones were part of the reason for the mess.

harer92 31st Oct 2014 11:13

The fleet was supposed to go down to 34 not 32.
