Ticket restrictions ?
I am looking for flight from LON to LAS ...
I am getting prices at around £750 rtn from LON However if I book flights DUB TO LAS I'm getting Prices of around £410 via LON with British Airways So my question is can I book this ticket but just turn up At LGW/LHR and check-in for a direct flight to LAS with BA And the same on the RTN just don't get my connecting flight to DUB Asking for my bag not to be interlined ... |
No, if your DUB-LON segment is on the same PNR/e-ticket and you no-show, your onwards bookings will be cancelled and you will not be reinstated unless you pay the applicable fare for the journey you are undertaking, i.e the LON-LAS-LON.
From the airline's point of view, what you are doing is undercutting a published fare and their revenue protection systems will inhibit this. If you no-show for the last segment LON-DUB there is not much they can do about although they are theoretically entitled to charge you the applicable fare as above, and in cases of systematic abuse of fare rules, they would do so. You may think this is wrong, predatory, stupid, whatever, but that's how airline revenue management systems work. Don't do it! |
Thanks for the info ...
What if I book DUB-LAS rtn Via LON and take a flight LON to DUB but on my rtn ask for my bag not to be interlined and just don't take my LON-DUB sector will they chase me for the fare ? |
That will work but make sure you allow plenty of time in DUB for the connection back to LON. If you miss the flight you are back to square one!
It is highly unlikely that they will chase you for the difference if you don't use the last LON-DUB leg. The possibility exists but is pretty remote in a case like yours. If it were me, I would probably take the chance. |
Thanks again I will probably book LGW to DUB the night before and the on
My return just get off and collect my car from LGW.:oh: |
