Virgin Atlantic 787 registrations
Hi all,
I looking for the Virgin atlantic 787 registrations if anyone knows them? I have the first G-VNEW Does anyone have the rest of them? |
Its really not that difficult.... Google "GINFO" .... :E
What's this topic got to do with "Rumors & News" anyway ? Sounds more like Spotters Corner.... :ugh: |
Ouch, Dave ! Mixture sounds like my ex wife. He's right but most of us ole pros are a bit more easy going. Good luck.
|
"4 engines 4 longhaul" ... Oh no, hold on ...
|
Mixture sounds like my current wife:hmm:
Maybe that's why I am transfering to long haul:p |
Mixture sounds like my ex wife. Mixture sounds like my current wife |
Don't know all of them but one will be:
G-VCRU named 'Olivia-Rae'. This one is in rememberance of a Cabin Crew member that passed away recently under tragic circumstances. |
Its really not that difficult.... Google "GINFO" .... :E But don't let that get in the way of a snarky reply, eh, Mixture.... |
There was a time when I wondered if Mixture was an alias for Krystal and Chips, but then I realised that Mixture knows what he's talking about most of the time, and his replies make sense.
|
Jethros gives G-VNEW and G-VAHH as two of the registrations, no others listed at present.

Which of course only gives currently registered or de-registered aircraft on the UK register, hence the Virgin 787s are not on there yet.... From the CAA website : Registration in the UK can take place once ownership has passed from the foreign manufacturer to the applicant. If the prospective owner applies to register the aircraft before they have actually become the owner, we will send them a form to complete and return to the CAA when they actually become the owner. There are more than enough spotter websites out there that will list unofficial information on upcoming aircraft.... and even planespotters dot net doens't list the regs yet ! It still shows their status as "on order". Ownership is not Virgins, thus they have no authority to file registrations. The CAA won't treat Virgin any differently to anyone else. Virgin, like any other prospective owner, can apply for a six month "reservation" of the name.... but that is very different from formal registration and things may change and cause the "reservation" to be null and void since its not guaranteed ! You are also not allowed to display a mark that is merely "reserved" on an aircraft... for obvious reasons ! The original question was very clearly I looking for the Virgin atlantic 787 registrations "Reservation" and "Registration" are two completely independent processes. There is no requirement to "Reserve" before you "Register". They are dealt with on a completely different legal basis and in a completely different manner. Therefore Not in this case though. He was wrong, End of story. |
G-VNEW awaiting first flight
G-VAAH early stage of assembly G-VOOH a few months away. |
Virgin, like any other prospective owner, can apply for a six month "reservation" of the name.... but that is very different from formal registration and things may change and cause the "reservation" to be null and void since its not guaranteed ! Dave Cummings asked about REGISTRATIONS and he got an answer about REGISTRATIONS ! However most of us lesser mortals, and clearly that includes the OP, use "registration" to mean the actual G- registration mark involved. Hence the helpful responses from other posters who understood the question. |
Try these Mate
G VAHH Dream girl 10/14 G VOOH Miss chief 12/14 G VWHO Mystery girl 2/15 G VFAN Pin up girl 4/15 G VWOO Leading lady 6/15 G VBZZ Queen bee 7/15 G VSPY Miss Moneypenny 11/15 G VNYL Penny Lane 12/15 G VERY Miss Molly 1/16 Mixutre...someone needs to Tell Boeing and Virgin about this "You are also not allowed to display a mark that is merely "reserved" on an aircraft... for obvious reasons ! as currently G-VNEW is siting outside the Boeing factory with the reg blatantly displayed := Just realised one of these reggies will not happen as one will be registered in memory of a Virgin Employee |

"Birthday Girl" will feature the iconic Virgin Atlantic ‘Flying Lady’, displayed face-on carrying a celebratory champagne coupe
|
G-VNYL is pretty appropriate for a 787
|
Slightly " of topic " I know, but on which routes will these new aircraft be used and what aircraft, if any , will they displace from the current Virgin Atlantic fleet ?
