The picture I'm looking at is a CFM56 powered A320 ! Also sozx for a bit off topic one thing I find bizarre is that 5A-ONK for Afriqiyah was Damaged in late 2011 and has still not returned to service. Maybe a write off?: http://img.planespotters.net/photo/3...Net_376393.jpg Wonder if the same will happen to these aircraft? :) |
Now reported that a Libyan Airlines A330, 5N-LAS (brand new - line number 1424) was hit by an RPG.
It's still not clear which aircraft were destroyed, damaged beyond repair or just hit by gunfire. Many damaged were in the latter category; it's just too dangerous to go out on the airfield to assess damage. This Nouvelair A320, regularly used by LN on flights to LHR, was among the aircraft damaged: Photo: TS-INN (CN: 793) Libyan Airlines (Nouvelair) Airbus A320-212 by John Fitzpatrick Photoid: 7653525 - JetPhotos.Net One Bouraq Airlines 738 was damaged, as well as several Libyan and Afriqiyah A320s and a Government Falcon 900. |
5A-ONC, An Afriqiyah A319 has also been Damaged
