Osprey at LPA

Spotted an Osprey on the tarmac at the military side of Gando Airport Las Palmas today. I am certain that Spain does not own any and I understand that the nearest are based in Moron on the mainland and Aviano in Italy.

Any ideas anyone ??

Some wag asked if They had suddenly discovered oil in the canaries. Funnily enough - - - they have :-(
