Avionics Room in B777
A picture was posted in the MH370 thread of a B777 avionics room:

It looks like a specialized terminal/display and I want to know what it is used for, and whether its use would be limited to on the ground situations or whether it would be accessible in flight. It's a PMAT. "Portable" Maintenance Access Terminal.
Used by engineers to diagnose and cure faults, activate ground tests etc. As far as I can remember it's deactivated in flight. I only ever used it's once when the MAT on the flight deck was u/s. Many airlines have removed them. Posted from Pprune.org App for Android |
Thank you. Would such a device have been accessible on MH370 (from below decks - someone in the cargo hold), and if so, could it be used to cause the phenomena observed on MH370.
