I am about to start PPL and hope to become soon an ATPL frozen holder. I hope one day I will fly this state-of -the-art aircraft.

Let me dream please! She's fantastic!

SeenItAll 13th May 2013 20:00

Actually, with that drop nose and upswept wings, she looks pretty much like a 787. But I guess aerodynamic principles apply pretty equally to A and B, so the resemblance should be expected.

DarrenM488 13th May 2013 21:22

That is one good looking piece of kit!

Give me a Lockheed Constellation any day ;)

The Connie's a head turner all right, been lucky enough to see one close up.

Roll out video of the A350

Redbull.You won't ever fly it. You can't.

But you might end up pushing buttons or waggling a gameboy controller to tell a computer how you would like it flown, if that's OK with the computer.

Go to Switzerland and fly in one :)

I do really admire the wing structure on this machine, however i'm not too sold on the nose. But in whole, a real good looking aircraft!:ok:

ATSA1 14th May 2013 12:52

I hope it flies at the Paris air show next month, but I am not holding my breath!

(even a fly past would be nice!)

:D drooooooool !

Shame the yoof of today dream about 'flying' something utterly soul-less!

trident3A 14th May 2013 13:56

Wow it's real nice

SWBKCB 15th May 2013 08:10

Fugly - don't like the nose, the wingtips and the tail is out of proportion (too small).

Not as bad as the Trident or DC-10, but how do you mess up a bog standard twin jet?

Not due to be at Paris, I believe.

TurboTomato 15th May 2013 08:21

Erm, it's not a competition to produce the prettiest twin, is it?!

Also the tail looks out of proportion on that particular picture as it's been taken on a very wide angle lens and hence there's quite a lot of distortion.

SWBKCB 15th May 2013 14:46

No, but the thread is specifically about how it looks! Seen other side on shots, and the tail still look out of proportion.

ATSA1 15th May 2013 16:18

Tail looks OK to me! reminds me of a an A321, compared to a B757...amazing what fly by wire can do for your tail surfaces!

TurboTomato 17th May 2013 08:40

No, but the thread is specifically about how it looks!
That it may be but stating 'how can you mess up a bog standard twin jet?' implies that the designers have much of a choice. The only time that they would have messed up is if it doesn't fly properly. Form follows function.

I guess the Saudi customers have already placed orders for their 'personal' A350. Would be interesting to see what would be on offer for the interior.

Denti 18th May 2013 11:12

Doesn't the nose looks like they mated a porcupine with a 787?

Seloco 22nd May 2013 12:02

Nice to see the Comet/Caravelle nose revival continuing!
