Hi everyone, I was just wondering what this young pilot is wearing under his nose, thanks in advance :)

I suspect he is older than he says and is simply hiding his WWII handlebar 'tasche?

Where in 'London' does he propose to land ?

Given the clear plastic pipe that is attached to a ceiling unit behind him, it appears to be dribbling oxygen.

This would be more comfortable than a full mask and should ensure that he does not become hypoxic, or affected by fumes he cannot smell.

It is an oxygen mask of sorts.

The Mooney has a service ceiling of 20,000ft so oxygen will be required to fly above 10,000ft for prolonged periods.

You just need to remember to breathe through your nose as much as possible.:rolleyes:

Wherever it was, it landed there just after 18:50 local time this evening.

Thanks lots for the answers, certainly looks a more comfortable setup and would allow better all round vision as well, so vital in a smaller aircraft.

Took off at 16:25 LT yesterday afternoon (13th), bound for Rome.
