Ilyushin Il-76TD low takeoff
This Il-76TD seems to carry a heavy load, unlike the other planes, rises only a few feets at the end of the runway...

very nice !

I am sorry but that is a normal 76 take off??? You should see them at +48C!!

Nice video... especially in HD.... but that's a perfectly normal IL76 take-off. Nothing special to see there.

Youtube makes it easy to calculate the takeoff roll. In this case about 45 seconds. Completely normal for a large jet transport.

Maybe it's a Russian thing, I've flown in Tu-154s where you can still count the cows 5 min after tekeoff

antiguogrumete does shoot some nice video. It's too bad, however, that he has to introduce them with sensationalist, misleading headers. I can't figure out if he is clueless, a sensationalist, or just pandering his videos...

Take a company that does not mind fudging the numbers on the W&B for profit and pilots with balls larger than brains and this is what you get.

grounded
In the case of some operators I would not totally agree. Some pilots (especially Russians) are given to winding up the onlookers (good on them). If an aircraft unsticks close to the end of the runway a clue that it did not need all the runway is that it actually unsticks with a very low AoA thanks to excess IAS. Aircraft that really do need all the runway tend to have a slightly higher nose attitude (and hence AoA) when they are eventually dragged off! |

ASN Aircraft accident Antonov 32B RA-26222 Kinshasa-N'Dolo Airport (NLO) Or was it just a case of several different people taking a little to allow extra luggage or cargo on board without knowing who else had done the same. In my time as a regular SLF in that continent often a $10 was all that was needed for the excess baggage not to be noticed. |
Don't most aeroplanes and for that matter helicopters, take off from close to the ground?:ok:
|
Thanks!
I like a lot this plane, I have some others videos of the IL 76TD. Not very frecuent in Spain. |
For the love of God please don't post them here!
How much advertising revenue are you making from the videos you spam these boards with? |
Very well said Torque, these 5hit videos don't come from aviation enthusiasts - they come from clowns that can't tell the difference between a DC-8 and a Lancaster and are just doing it to make some advertising revenue. :ugh:
