Any experts on GE know how to interrogate it to find the date/time a particular image was captured ? |
Imagery Date 6/27/2010 or 7/30/10 at 5:49 PM
For more information you need to be in the Google Earth program rather than Google Maps. (Search on Russell Square London).
In the bottom LH corner on Google Earth you can see that this image acquisition date is given as 6/27/2010. Clicking on the Clock & Sunshine images at the top for date and then the Spanner for time gives the date as 7/30/10 and time 5:49 PM. There have been images taken of this area of London since 1945. You can see the historical imagery by using the time slider.. Interestingly there have been 4 later date images taken since. On 2/2011, 7/2011, 8/2011 & 8/2012. Although 8/2011 looks like a clear day, the 6/2010 image showing the BA Airbus is still in current use on Google. SJ |
5:49 pm ? I don't think so.
Looking at the shadows of the trees and buildings, the sun is clearly in the east. |
