Thomas cook 757-300's

Hi there was just wnting to ask where Thomascooks 2 757-300s are based for the summer or indeed year round?

tallaonehotel 28th May 2012 15:05

Both floating in and out of Glasgow most days........

bucket_and_spade 28th May 2012 16:29

'Floating' being the operative word with those new (ish) winglets!

4567 29th May 2012 09:39

I see they based there most of the time?
I suppose it makes sense to put them up there with those winglets. Wasnt sure if they would get the loads up there.

Don't they fly very much?:ok:

Saw a non-winglet TC 757 approaching into EGKK yesterday - presumably that's not one of the -300s?

MKY661 2nd Jun 2012 11:46

Both 757-300's have winglets

Bigbluebroxi 2nd Jun 2012 23:04

Both are now based at GLA for the summer.

So far they are both behaving much better than last summer aswell!

Mightve spoke too soon there haha. Just seen one is currently in PMI with a pretty severe delay not sure if its the actual a/c or just them running late. Are they old a/c?
I heard myself they were pretty tech prone last yr. Must've caused a right emss with schedules for the GLA base last yr having both.

Rob Courtney 4th Jun 2012 11:25

The 300s are having the odd sortie into Manchester as well, there was one on the Friday evening Tenerife flight last week

MKY661 4th Jun 2012 11:39

They are not tht old no. G-JMAA is 11.2 years old and G-JMAB is 11.1 years old.

Tight Slot 5th Jun 2012 12:11

G-JMAB

11.1 years old is correct! I had the pleasure of flying her into the UK for the first time from the Boeing factory in Seattle :)

Just to clarify; both 757-300s remain Glasgow based until the English school holidays kick in (mid to late July) when they move to Gatwick.

4567 17th Jun 2012 22:06

Are both of them off to Gatwick thought one always hung around Glasgow even last summer i thought that was the case.

I can see why they would place them at GLA to make full use of those winglets.

Tight Slot 20th Jun 2012 17:49

A TCX 753 is due to operate the Izmir on 30/06/12 out of BHX at 18.40 local if anyone wants to see one in the midlands.
