"Firing" a Plane

From TAS Manchester:

EMB-135BJ Legacy G-SUGA arrived early morning as EDC702P and was ‘fired’ a couple of hours later as EDC702.

What does this mean exactly?

Thanks lots:ok:

I think it is a typo.

Should be "Filed" as in a flight plan.

May be a reference to who owns it!

G SUGA your fired.

D and F:8

Sounds logical.

I don't think it is a typo, particularly as they have used the quote marks. As Deep and Fast says it's a reference to the owner (albeit a bit oblique). Look here, then here and you might be able to piece it together.
