"The Flight" TV Series
Hi People.
A couple of years ago, I watched a documentary series of about four episodes on cable TV, following a flight from Canada to Germany - and all that entails. I thought it was entitled "The Flight". I've searched the net high and low and cannot find any reference to it. I must have got something wrong, somewhere. Can anybody help to identify what I should be looking for?:ugh: |

You can catch repeats at the following times (Eastern Daylight Time - adjust for other time zones in Canada): October 09 15:00-16:00: The Flight - Departure October 10 15:00-16:00: The Flight - En Route October 11 15:00-16:00: The Flight - Arrival "The Flight" follows an Air Canada 767-300 from pre-departure Toronto to post-arrival Frankfurt. *** Apparently it was repeated more recently on the Outdoor Life Network channel in Canada. That's probably where I saw it. |
Many thanks Zombywoof (Great name, by the way). I thought I'd lost the plot. I shall now continue my search. Thanks again.:)

Heff, please let us know if you find a link to this programme so we can all enjoy it.
I'm one for collecting really old TV documentaries about airlines. Best one I recorded, must be about 15 to 20 years ago, was called Airline- "Jet Jockeys" and follows a BA 747 crew from Heathrow to Austarlia. Excellent programme which I still have saved on dvd. It was a BBC production. Anyone remember that one ? |
That's what you're talking about isn't it cyflyer. It's not a particularly flattering documentary about the role of pilots throughout. Having done a bit of research it seems that the pilots involved felt stitched up by the producers and wrote of their displeasure to BALPA. Lots of selective editing going on and a clear agenda. Classic media. |
Yes BerksFlyer, indeed thats the one. Didn't realise there were negative reactions to it at the time. Why ? I rather enjoyed the way it followed the flight from briefing to final destination. Haven't seen a better one. I thought it a classic of its type.
