Way Point IBROD ( 56 degrees 30 minutes north, 10 degrees west )

I recently had a sight of an Atlantic Transition chart ( albeit probably not the most recent edition ) and noticed the above Way Point. I was under the impression that in the North Atlantic track sysytem, the lateral separation is 60 nautical miles. As a result, I was wondering if and when traffic is routed via IBROD.

Any information would be much appreciated.

IBROD is still in use. See Upper Air Routes

It is the boundary of the UK FIR with the Northern Oceanic Transition Area (NOTA). Aircraft may flight plan to use IBROD typically when on UM132. See for example VIR71
Full 60nm separation is achieved at 15W

There is also KUGUR, at 5530N 10W, between NIBOG and MIMKU. It's mostly used on Eastbound night time fuel saving routes, albeit not commonly.
