744 Checklist
Hi,
Does anyone have a real world airline checklist for the 747? I have seen a virgin one somewhere on the internet but it seems to be missing the first few sections like Cockpit prep, engine start etc... I have various flight sim ones but wanted a more authentic real world one.. Any ideas? |
Can anyone with access to these from a real airline scan one in and PM me?
Really keen to get an authentic one... |
Not allowed. They are for in-company use only.

737 checklist:
-Preflight checklist. -Before start checklist. -Before taxi checklist. -Before take off checklist. -After take off checklist. -Descend checklist. -Approach checklist. -Landing checklist. -Shutdown checklist. -Secure checklist. Guess 747 will have same structure, with different items on each checklist. If the Virgin checklist you have seen, has these steps, then is complete. Each company may include different items. The best you can see to have a real idea is the "Boeing standard checklist". Probably you will find some pic or list on internet. |
I have seen a virgin one somewhere on the internet but it seems to be missing the first few sections like Cockpit prep, engine start etc... The checklists on the other hand are concise enough to fit on a A4 laminated card (still assuming the 744). They are read, as appropriate, on a "challenge and response" basis to confirm the correct configuration of essential systems before and/or after doing something critical such as starting the engines. So in a nutshell the way it works is you'll do a (possibly lengthy) FCOM 1 procedure from memory and then confirm you've got the essential actions correct by using the checklist. If you still want the full 744 procedures you need somehow to get a copy of a 744 FCOM 1, but as Intruder has pointed out there are restrictions on employees copying and promulgating these documents. |
