Not sure what you mean?? Under certain conditions, visual separation can be provided so aircraft can be much closer than 2nm. Normal final approach separation varies from 2.5nm upwards, depending on weather, wake turbulence and other considerations.

Generally they're 6 miles apart between successive aircraft which equates to around 3miles diagonal spacing between the left and right traffic.

The spacing may be increased further on the departure runway to facilitate getting departures away, this is generally prevelant on 09R due to the lack of high speed turnoffs meaning aircraft take longer to vacate.

BT777.... in certain conditions visual separation may be effected between landers on parallel runways so, technically, they can be alongside each other.

Correct, however in the period 6-7am as posted by HeathrowAirport they don't tend to bother.

Normal TEAMing is always good to see them reducing it below 2.
