White B767

...anybody knows who is the owner of the white B767 with no registration marks flying in and out of Bangor MA?

This one, perhaps?

It's operated by the Italian Air Force as a support/training aircraft. It does wear US civil registration marks (and the "TW" registration originates from its service with TWA).

It was a big hit in Italy. The Chemtrail nuts went mad for it!

The reg is small, but it is not unmarked.

US civilian plane operated by the Italian military force? That sound strange!

TEEEJ 29th Jun 2010 14:32

169west,
What is strange about it? It is a company Boeing loaned/leased to the Italian Air Force to assist with training of crews.

Nothing but it seems just like a spy plane!:)

I've seen this crate a few times at Rome Ciampino when operating in and out.

I'm guessing that you are from the western side of the Atlantic?

Evanelpus 29th Jun 2010 16:05

'N' registered airliners never carry the reg under the wing anyway.

Some of the comments on YouTube are a real hoot !

It's so obvious its a chemtrailer jet it doesn't even have a logo on the tail !

In passing, a substantial amount of the Italian airline fleet is also registered out of the country (Irish registrations are a favourite), including brand-new aircraft for Alitalia etc, and this has been the case for some time. I gather there is some Italian bureaucratic or legal issue that causes this to happen. Can anyone identify what this is?

SpringHeeledJack 30th Jun 2010 12:14

As this aircraft seems to be owned by Boeing, after perhaps a trade-in for American Airlines, it would seem to me that the Italian Government have leased it, either wet or dry to transport their troops to military training areas where they can practice without hindrance various war scenarios, something not available in Europe.

As allies to the USA and in a quid pro quo for American military in Italy, it would seem to be wholly normal for such troop movements/deployments. As far as i'm aware the Italian Airforce has only A319s for the VIPs' and shineys' and Transalls for the grunts and groans. In this day and age, i'm sure that plain planes :) are a bonus for keeping a low profile. Of course, it could be a top-secret Italian plot to chemtrail the Canadian and Alaskan Moose population into deep cover operatives for future winter warfare purposes.....

Italian Air Force Transports

The 767 has been loaned by Boeing because of the late delivery of the It AF KC767 tanker aircraft. Ihe It AF main transport aircraft are C130Js and C27Js. They do not operate Transalls.

... Secret Service Plane!

I believe the Irish reg´s are to do with if the airline goes bankrupt.
Under Italian law the I - reg aircraft can be impounded and used to pay off debts, but if "foreign" registered this is not the case.
