I see they went for the CFM power option.....anyone flying them with the PW6000?

DutchBird-757 21st Aug 2009 15:00

It will be delivered to LGW on 31st of AUG IIRC. That's where it will be maintained as well due lack of space at LCY. If the route fails the aircraft will be converted to suit normal pax ops (overwing exits inside) and put on the mainline service from LGW. Training is at Manston.

DB757 you sure the training is at Manston? I heard Manston couldn't do it because it would take too long to change the PAPI angle.

ManofMan 28th Aug 2009 09:30

To add fuel to said fire the ILS calibrating B200 was buzzing woodford yesterday....getting ready for the A318 ??

Perhaps looking a bit further ahead, say 12-18 months? The flights might be fully booked at present but there's no guarantee of this further down the line...

BA taking the first A318 for EGLC-KJFK

Today BA took their first one. Steep approach capable. It will use the famous BA001 flight number. Note it's german interim flag on the tail.
