Airbus Flex Charts

Hey guys,

This question has probably came up before but I couldn't find it on this forum so here it goes.

On the flex takeoff charts for the A32X the top right of the page is says "codes". Then in the cell with the MTOW and the V speeds it also has something like "3/6 or 3/3". I am assuming this corresponds with "codes", but what exactly are the "codes"?

Thanks very much

Check at the bottom of the chart :ok:

My charts have nothing at the bottom of them, and they are from the FCOM.

These are the take off limiting codes. They indicate the two most limiting performance factors for the take off.

For example, usually:

1) 1st segment
2) 2nd segment
3) Runway length
4) Obstacle
5) Tyre speed
6) Brake energy
7) Max weight
8) Final take off
9) VMU

If the two codes are the same (as in your "3/3" example) it means that single factor is always more limiting than any other.

You should find all the relevant detail in the performance manual.

Perfect! Thanks very much.
