BA to launch new airline
"BA to launch transatlantic carrier
Reuters - Thursday, June 19 04:40 am NEW YORK (Reuters) - British Airways will launch a new airline on Thursday that will link New York to continental Europe, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday. The paper said the move is an attempt to capitalize on the recent deregulation of trans-Atlantic air travel. A British Airways spokesperson was not immediately available." Mickjoebill |
Wow! Thanks MikeJ - where did you here this shocking news? What's it going to be called? I can't believe it's got this far and this is the first I've heard of it!!! Will this impact mainline BA?
Some people are just a waste of bandwidth. |
Its going to be called 'British American'........
Does anyone know if they will be using BA mainline pilots to crew this?
No it won't be BA crews, but I am pretty sure the BA mainline guys won't really mind.
Mickjoebill - the sarcasm on this thread is purely because this is fairly old news and has been a major discussion point on here for most of this year... |
i never saw this coming............
i'm going for "openskies" airlines, using boeing 757-200's. ahh go on, get the winglets on aswell....(just a thought!) G-STAW |

Just hearing breaking news that Elvis is dead ??
Just because someone did / had not seen this piece of minor news I feel there is no need for such sarcasm. Some of you need to grow up and release that other people have a life outside of aviation?
I wouldn't call it minor news - after all Big are threatening (or have been) to bankrupt BALPA over their opposition to new hires being unable to be on the master seniority list...
Not trying to put the purple French 757 operator out of business now are they :uhoh:
