YYY is the airport code for Mont-Joli Airport which I think is Quebec.

DONTTELLTHEPAX 7th Sep 2007 17:00

sorry I did not make it clear I dont know where the aircraft is coming from to fly us to Toronto, YYY is the the letter code we use at work for an unknown airport, sorry for the confusion but its not Mont-joli the YYY was just to let people know I had no idea what so ever where it was due from

Route maps

Morning all,

I am interested to find out if there is a website where I can find out the route I will be taking on my forthcoming holiday.

We are flying from Manchester to Kos and out of interest I would like to see which countries we will be flying over.

Thanks

:)

TopBunk 9th Sep 2007 10:22

Up

There is not a fixed route, but probably several from which a company will choose on the day which is the best.

The routing will primarily vary as a function of the winds at cruise level, and possibly overflight charges which vary by country.

The best I can suggest is to get yourself a globe and some string. Linking the 2 places will give you the shortest distance between the points and give you some ideas of countries to be overflown.

Judging by your stated departure time, I think that you mean flight MYT095. The aircraft for this flight yesterday had previously done the Gatwick - Orlando Sanford - Gatwick return route on flight numbers MYT051 and MYT052.

Have a good trip. :ok:

Whilst I have to agree with TopBunk, some routes seem to be used more often than others. There is no guarantee that the undermentioned route will be flown but it is one of the shorter ones if all other conditions are favourable.

North of Manchester, direct to the north Norfolk coast and straight on to close to Amsterdam. Continue course to around Arnhem/Nijmegan then turn slightly south and direct to Munich. Turn direct to Ljubljana with a final turn around Salonika.

No guarantees of course.

Have a good flight. :ok:

1) Is it True it is planning on making fight to manchester and other European routes (Source Wiki:confused:)

GF at MAN

Not sure about MAN as a new GF destination, they used to ply the route with a 767 a couple of times per week as a tag-on from MUC and CDG back in the 1990's I believe, but it was never their preferred route as it was from AUH instead of BAH due to the restrictive bi-laterals at the time (I stand to be corrected here?)

At MAN these days you have Etihad daily on AUH alongside Emirates 2x daily (possible 3rd in the pipeline?) to DXB and Qatar daily to DOH so things do look a little crowded for a new carrier to the Gulf states. Although it would be great to see GF metal on the ground at MAN again :)

LGW-AGP with BA

Can't say for next Sunday, but the corresponding flight this morning was an A320. Later flights this morning to AGP have been by A321.

Have a good flight.:)

MON5620 to Dalaman has been operated this summer with a B767-300. I think the only way to find out if it will be the same next year is to give them a call on 0870 458 2861.

deltamike02 2nd Oct 2007 13:55

Due to fly EDI-PMI with Flyglobespan later this week. I see the aircraft currently serving this route is a 737-300.

Given that it is likely to be a single class layout, does anyone know which row near the engines does not have a window. Don't much fancy being stuck without a window.:bored:

Cheers:ok:

Many thanks for your help, have since found out it could well be either the 763 or A330.

Anyone know what aircraft XL are operating from MAN to Hurghada on Fridays this winter season? Would be much appreciated.

Flybe BHX - EDI/GLA

Looking for help: can anyone in the know tell me which weekday flights between BHX - EDI and BHX - GLA are operated by the 145/195?

Thanks

groundhogbhx 10th Oct 2007 21:31

195 to either, early or late depending on if it works!
145 to either any time of day, depends on booked loads, crews, serviceability etc.

There isn't any set pattern and it can and does change during the day. If you are looking to fly on a specific type those are the routes that are probably the least predictable.
