Qantas 707

Any one know the latest on Boeing 707 HZ123 which is destend for southern parts (Australia)

We have heard when the aircraft is fit to fly it will be doing a long air test and this may be peformed within the Channel Island Zone. The aircraft may perform some practice approach,s to check all the landing instruments I.E. ILS/VOR/DME etc.

Does any oone have any ideas on how well the aircraft is progressing and possibly when the aircraft may be ready??:ok: :ok:

The aircraft is worked on daily and the last update was a departure to Boeings before the end of September. If that is the case then it would be reasonable to assume engine runs in late August. The a/c parks in front of ATC hangar and cannot be viewed favourably. Perhaps someone that works on it can update the thread as I want to see the a/c flying and hear proper engines running not the namby pamby hoover engines of today. l

Proper engines?

Oh, you perhaps refer to Conways or JT4's.

Now there was LOUD!

Few both types from the LHS, much quieter up there...:D :D :D
