GTI8204 and GTI8362 are both coming from CHS, CHARLESTON AFB SC I believe, both 742s.

Also have BAW3573 B744 due to depart to ATL @ 1200z, and the usual CLX779 from Huntsville, and PAC604 from ORD.

Hi Kestrel_909

Cheers but do you know where they will be going after PIK?

The two GTIs, afraid not. Not yet anyway.

I know the PAC604 goes on to Amsterdam and CLX779 to Luxembourg, I think.

The Polar and Atlas 4 number flights generally depart eastward as they are chartered by the USAF, hence why its coming from Charleston. So only the ATC guys will know that one although when they sometimes route back through PIK on the way home the destination is usually Kuwait on tracker arrivals...

The 5465 is a weekly scheduled charter operating for a large Freight Forwarder in Scandinavia to move core traffic each week.

It's worth remembering that Polar and Atlas route 747s through Prestwick for maintenance in the Polar Hangar on apron H. Quite busy I believe.

The Atlas, Polar and Evergreen flights using go over the Atlantic on GTI, PAC and EIA callsigns respectively. After Prestwick they then change onto a RCH callsign and usually go to Incirlik or Kuwait with some other destinations thrown in.

I was a Prestwick last Sunday afternoon and if my memory serves me correct there were 8 747,s on the ground, 4 on schedules and 4 on the RCH flights. 2 Polar, 2 GSS, 1 Cargolux, 1 Evergreen and 2 Atlas. Quite impressive.

Hi Runway

Can you tell me what RCH stands for please?

RCH = Reach, callsign used by USAF Air Mobility Command, I think.
