Russia resumes An-124 production
Aviastar-SP is resuming series production of the An-124 Ruslan. 36 Ruslans had been produced in the last 20 years.
Volga-Dnepr and Polet airlines will acquire five aircraft each. The domestic and foreign market for such planes is estimated at 50. http://www.radarvector.com/2005/08/r...of-worlds.html |
Excellent! I am actually really pleased (no I'm not being sarcastic).
I find a lot of the Russian aircraft fascinating. There are far too many Boeing and Airbus in the world. |
Russian aircraft?
Though production is resuming in Russia through Aviastar, Anotonov is Ukrainian, not Russian. |
Hope they fit decent brakes (see the IL-96 grounding).
Not really surprising as the current operators seem to be doing brisk business ferrying military equipment around... wasn't there a proposal to build more -225s too? |
