Dodo Air
Has anyone any news/information concerning an Italian outfit called Dodo Air apparently offering ACMI for 747-200s ex Mojave?
Heard on the drums that EZY were sniffing around to ease pressure on their burgeoning bucket and spade routes. A low cost, low fare, 747....:ooh: |
That should be fun, 450 unallocated seats :}
|
I saw a photo of a 747-200 in an aviation magazine a month or two ago, in full EZY cls. I believe it belonged to Air Dodo. So you probably heard right!

Hook, line and sinker...
You've been suckered by a surprisingly effective April Fool joke which featured in Airliner World magazine earlier this year. It featured a photo of a 747 in EasyJet livery and the accompanying article stated that it would be leased from Dodo Airlines (come on...). Most telling of all, it bore the Italian-sounding registration I-GOTU. Sounds like the boys at AW are still reeling a few of you in. :) |
Brilliant, absolutely 'f in' brilliant.
I, of course, was nowhere near falling for it !!!! |
Nice one :)
Surely 'Dodo' was a clue...I-GOTU now that I like :ok: |
Yes, I did think it was a rather silly idea to call a company, even a leasing company at that, by the name of DODO, ..........but then again, they were (supposed to be) Italians!! Enough said!!
Good one though!! |
I almost believed that when I first read the mag until the Dodo Air ACMI bit.
Now if they had said Air Atlanta Icelandic was going to provide the aircraft, they would probably have had me. That was a nice little AF! Daniel |
No it's actually true.
just kidding |
