TRANSATLANTIC JETSTREAMS e/bound

North Atlantic jetstreams running high speed currently south easterly direction.

Anyone out there have interesting stories about this?
170mph tailwinds getting a good buffet and moderate/severe chop at FL350-FL370 this weekend.

People down the back complaining and cabin crew getting nervous.

Keep the bean counters happy - all that fuel saving.

Until of course they try to go westbound. Then they moan like hell.

Just flew YUL-CDG last night and we landed at CDG about 30 minutes early.

Ground speed at FL380 was, per the airshow display (hey I`m just SLF!) between 1100-1200 km/h for most of the flight

Yeah - I managed 564 kts G/S today - my fastest ever!!

Impressive fast crossings are all very well. However, a number of aircraft were asking to "dogleg" within the London FIR to delay their approach as they were too early for their stands and other "stuff".

Lots of chop and bouncing coming back from UVF to LGW on the 12th on Virgin 744 at FL380. Good groundspeed too, 600Kts+

that situation is not unheard of at high level flights.
