P68's over Norfolk
There are, according to Flight Radar, two Vulcanair P68's flying over East Norfolk right now. Both seem to be on some sort of grid pattern.
Anyone know what they are doing?
Just interested as they are close to my house, don't you know!

Seem to be the aircraft of choice these days for survey work in Europe.
I think if you search the forums you'll find they're out and about quite often at this time of the year. In fact in Covid it was bonanza time as they could fly just about anywhere any time. It's a balance between good weather, length of day and no leaves on the trees (cos you want to map what is UNDER the trees) for normal photos - tho if its just LIDAR I think they can work in hazy/damp weather.
Often to do with road improvements or other infrastructure projects - it's about the first thing you do as you need new maps
