Titan Airways 321NEO jiggery pokery

Wonder if anyone can riddle me this.

One of the YouTube streamers (Hori’s box san) over at FLL in the states caught G-XATW turning up in all black TCH travel world services livery the other day.

G-XATW was indeed delivered in an all black livery a few years back for TCH or S or what ever but then reappeared as Boris’s baby bus in the U.K. Vespina livery.

G-GBNI which you would of expected to carry the Vespina livery remained all black throughout.

G-GBNI now carries Vespina United Kingdom livery and G-XATW is now all black.

What’s happened here? Have the registrations simply been swapped over or has the U.K. done a full Boris and spaffed lots of money up the wall and repainted black to Vespina to black again and black to Vespina?

G-XATW is indeed now in TCS World Travel livery.

Whether it's actually black or a deep shade of purple, I'll leave for those artier than me to argue about.

Ah ha, but does that mean it went back into the paint shop for its new look or simply the registrations were swapped?

if it’s the former then crackers that’s a bit inappropriate during a global extinction climate event and cost of living apocalypse…well actually I don’t really care but I am interested….

On the grand scheme of things a multi 100’s of thousand pound plane respray probably doesn’t touch the sides of the epic numbers of £’s frittered in the last few years.

Personally I love Titan, most enjoyable flight I’ve ever been on as a PAX was courtesy of them down to Rhodes on a CHANNEX lease and I’ve delivered plenty of Albanian crim deportees to them via coach airside and always admired the efficiency of the operation. Very little mucking about. Push, start and wheels up either on or before time.

The escorts were always very complimentary of the return catering also.

My estimations and opinion may go down however if that crappy United Kingdom livery has moved across at cost to the tax payer from one aircraft to another.

Although if the repaints happened in the U.K. and it provides good solid employment (good jobs for good people) I may be swayed.

I’ve always fancied painting a plane myself….not alone obviously.

Whern was G-GBNI all black? Thought it was all white before being painted into UK colours.

Otherwise, its a question of timing - G-XATW was painted for TCS, not taken up, UK colours until G-GBNI was available, then into full TCS cls (and its purple! )

I’d suggest it a very deep purple, awfully well ripened Aubergine? Sort of, “bought this as I wanted to be healthy and try stuffing it and left it in the fridge for three weeks?”

Looked great on the stream mine you, imagine the onboard pax are sunning it in the Caribbean! Lucky so and so’s.

The latter can't be done in the UK.
