Catalina & 3 spitfires along West Sussex coast

Anyone see the Catalina at about midday & 3 spitfires slightly later heading East along the coast .... any idea where they were heading?

Catalina was MissPick Up, from Duxford, on a private charter to Shoreham.

I was at Goodwood today and 3 Spitfires launched at about 1300hrs all all headed east - that was a sight and sound one after the other!

Plenty of evocation at Dawlish Warren in 2014 when 2 Lancs, a Hurrybag and Spit were in formation. Ten Merlins in unison! Great day, despite just managing to avoid a bout of fisticuffs.

We see a few Spitfires and Lance at Yorkshire house as we are close to Pennine low fly route as well as regular RAF kit. However for the last few year pre Covid that old Cat has usually wondered across our skies late on a Sunday afternoon in September at an almost glacial pace returning from air show further north.

Cheers
