Spectators Balcony (Spotters Corner)If you're not a professional pilot but want to discuss issues about the job, this is the best place to loiter. You won't be moved on by 'security' and there'll be plenty of experts to answer any questions.
What??? Actually what what. A330 Will not have hot brakes issue at least not on a normal turnaround and drying the breaks. I beg this is just sarcasm.
unless you account for it in the perf calcs you completely invalidate your second segment
wet brakes. Really!!!
Hot brakes on any A330 without the brake fans are a constant issue at airports that require long taxi routes. This is especially true during conditions that require engine anti ice on taxi out since it bumps the idle thrust up. I have seen 6 A330’s at AMS waiting for brakes to cool below 300 after the taxi out to 36L. Airbus is very aware of this and a few years ago clarified procedures.
There are also other MEL items that could also mandate a late gear retraction.
