wet brakes. Really!!!
Hot brakes on any A330 without the brake fans are a constant issue at airports that require long taxi routes. This is especially true during conditions that require engine anti ice on taxi out since it bumps the idle thrust up. I have seen 6 A330’s at AMS waiting for brakes to cool below 300 after the taxi out to 36L. Airbus is very aware of this and a few years ago clarified procedures.
There are also other MEL items that could also mandate a late gear retraction.
