The Sea King in question fresh from its starring role in "Vigil".

Noticed on FR24, looked up and clocked an Avro Anson just about to pass overhead. Out of Rougham, on its way to Duxford for the BoB Day show I expect.

When you saw it, it would have been en route back to its base at Sleap.

Indeed so. Total movements for August were 19,450 (627 per day, on average), an increase of 16.1% compared to July. Daily average for September (so far) is quite a bit up again, at 712.

Last Sunday's figure of 772 was the highest since the start of the pandemic.

The Saudi Aramco 767-200 came into LHR at lunchtime today. Drab grey against a backdrop of drab grey! All the same, pretty rare in these here parts.

Photo of Spit and Hurricane in the mil forum.

Speaking of ARAMCO, a US reg'd King Air 350 of their's headed Lydd-Woodley at 24000' an hour or two back... Assume it was en-route Shannon.

For those in the vicinity of BHX, take a trip along the A41 past Tyseley for a surprising glimpse of a Hawker Hunter, newly mounted (sometime on Saturday) on a plinth in the car park of an engineering company.

Google Maps hasnt yet caught up, but once it does, its visible here;

For those that cant get near or are desperate not to wait for google maps to update, Birmingham CC planning has an artists impression (though it seems bigger in real life!) - stick 2020/05639/PA in here

The planning application says it's going to go in SCC plc's car park, so I assume it's one of Peter Rigby's latest toys.

The photos show recently de-registered G-PRII, formerly PR.11 WT723, last noted at St Athan.

Edit: The documents show that the original intention was to mount an ex-Red Arrows Hawk rather than the Hunter finally selected.

What happened to the Hunter in the centre of Woking's shopping precinct? It was a Hunter wasn't it...? Certainly not there now.

It has indeed gone in the car park. I'll try and get a photo next time i pass - im slightly amazed that it hasnt yet found its way into the local papers...!

Oh and, yes, planning app suggests a Hawk previously. Maybe they realised it wouldnt look quite as impressive and 'looming'

Hmmm, wonder why an MC-130J is orbiting over eastern Kent at 19000'?

Edit: after a few twirls around the neighbourhood he descended for a 3000' pass over Dover, then headed home to Mildenhall at around 1500' along the coast up past Ramsgate and across to Felixstowe.

Sea King, apparently from Compton Abbas, passed here (Castle Cary) earlier using military registration on Freedar.

Removed in 2018 because of the risk of bits falling on people. Currently under restoration at Dunsfold.

Not on the computer but out of the window. We had a flyover from a lone Spitfire at lunchtime here in East Devon. It was too high to get a good look for a more accurate I/d.
