What does a TC-135 do in comparison to an RC-135 ? I've not knowingly seen one before.

Thanks! Of course, T-for training.....I wonder why they would be in the UK/Europe and not back in Omaha or wherever the crews are brought up to speed ?

I was making a trip to a recycling centre a few hundred metres from RAF Benson this morning, around 10am. I heard a lot of engine noise, and drove up to a parking area up a hill about 2 miles away that looks down towards Benson. Still plenty of noise for about 15 minutes, then quiet. Never saw a sausage let alone a herd of Pumas! Might not have been the right time anyway??

First time I've seen a Beriev 200CHS...especially on FR24, just off of Sochi.

Good example of the vagaries of crowd-sourced multilateration.

Like Tiger Moth G-AOBX which once graced the Hampshire skies at 48000' on one of the sites. Apart from the Loon balloons and the odd U-2 (and one of NASA's RB-57s) I've not seen anything else above 47000' as I recall...

Actually, I see Steve Bohill-Smith is a trustee of the group who operates her - was he not a Concorde captain? Well used to getting up high...

Just looking - Cub G-BVIE is reporting 48000' over Essex as I type. Must be a very good day for thermals!

I saw him yesterday chasing a Spit out of Biggin with a ground speed of 422kts

I don't know how fast the Spit was going but he wasn't catching it

That's the new plasma-hover engined testbed. I'm surprised that they let it out of Macrihanish.

One of the Maleth A340s - actually saw one this evening en route Cardiff - Bournemouth. Only then did I see it on my computer (well, phone).

Nice to have a Tiger Moth head over just now - very purposefully heading NE unlike the Redhill joy riding Tigers which used to putter gently overhead. Not on the usual sites.

I see the Biggin Spitfire people have acquired Shawn Patrick's P-51D, I wonder if my oh so sensitive ear will be able to tell the difference between its Packard Merlin and the more usual Merlin 66s in the Spitfires!

BA49 Divert?

FR24 shows that BA49, a 787 from LHR to SEA seems to have diverted to GLA after holding over Stornaway. Any ideas?

Lot of French Mil orbiting in the Paris area, presumably a practice for Bastille Day.

DC-3 from Dole in France currently (11:00) trudging up the east coast of Scotland on its way to Wick and then KEF for refuelling stops. N18121.

Originally a C-49G (impressed Wright-powered DC-3 of Eastern), subsequently converted to a Twin Wasp DC-3A.

BA7032 Malaga - London City G-LCAC just landed at Doncaster. Shows no sign of diversion on FR24, straight up west of UK & across to DSA. Not really a convenient diversion, probably one of the quietist places if there is a problem.

The plot thickens. Now departed Doncaster en route to Exeter.
