I'm surprised that an RAF base has such flimsy and insecure fencing. I appreciate that they have security, but all the same......No match for the 6 blowers on the AN225!

The Libyan Govt A340 is due to leave LHR today after 12 if any snappers want a photo ?

Just had a close up and personal visit from a Spit, I think a 2 seat IX out of Biggin. Did a pass pretty much over my house I think, though I'm three miles east! Not showing up on any of the radar sites.

Spitfires are being very coy today. Another one took off, no sign on radar. Miles Falcon and Dragonfly just got airborne, both easy to see visually and on the radar sites!

Built by Zeppelin in Friedrichshafen. Probably more interesting than anything else going round and round at Brands Hatch today.

I think they are returning to the US as part of the withdraw of forces from sandy places in the Middle East.

FR24 for at least one bird suggests more 'safari' than 'sandpit'

That's an unusual type altogether, was it a civvy or a 'civvy' nudge nudge, wink wink ?

Very unusual, but I noted a German example a couple of weeks ago - this one, N466DC, seems to have been photo'd in various European locations in the last few years. Been nice to have seen it!

I believe it was at Brands Hatch for the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) races there at the weekend, in it's promotional capacity of course.

Yeah, it was certainly orbiting BH on Sat afternoon after I noticed it wandering along - think it made a pass at the Headcorn bash - went home later that day, probably Sunday's forecast was a bit dire!

Another interesting A342 into LHR this morning from Qatar. No idea when it's heading off again.
