Interested to see where Atlas ZM413 is off to, following the NE section of the M25 near Loughton at 5000'! Circuit or two at Biggin? London City?

Looks like Biggin... Yup, go around by the looks of it...

Re the 40612 graffiti, Anyone remember the sprayed on sillouette of an SR71 that appeared on signs around Mildenhall in 1971/2 ish.
I don't know why, but I always liked KC135 #38038 and C141 # 38083. I saw then land one after the other one day. (And why do I remember these things after nearly 50 years?

They're not USAF, they're from the USS Iwo Jima which is offshore.

Big Eric, apologies & many thanks, assumed they may be canvassing G7 territory, or on way to Chivenor.

Nice to see a hot air balloon gently drifting southwards across Kent at the moment.

There's also something reporting 81000' and 669kts on flight tracker, heading east across Oxfordshire. Hmmmm...

Saw a Falco yesterday and, a first for me in 49 years of ricking me neck in Purley, an autogyro on Saturday. One of the sites told me it was a Magni.

Aah, de Havilland.

I heard it before I saw it. It sounded amazing! I hope it comes back the same way. 😎👍

Only in South Africa...

I noticed the Dragonfly's return was just offshore along the South Coast so I alerted my Worthing-based friend who went out on to his balcony, suitably armed with a camera. Alas, she turned slightly inland just before and sailed directly overhead his flat - he heard it though!

Almost exactly the same track as it followed last month - see post #1325.

Yes that's right, now I've checked.
I was prompted to look up while messing about in my garden and saw 3 or 4 contrails above all heading in various directions, roughly over Compton VOR.
As soon as I got my hi-power bins out I caught the IL-62 almost directly overhead, very clear and silver, and checked FR24. It only showed as "IL62" I think.

A56-001 RAAF Falcon 7X landed at Farnborough this evening, seen by about half the spotting population of Southern England given the amount of vehicles.......

Quick question: yesterday, in the Harlow/Nazeing area, between about 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm a very noisy helicopter passed back and forth a few times.

Looked to me like a Wasp. Was that likely, or do I need to turn in my plane-spotters badge?

I'm sure someone on here will know. Over to you experts!

There are 5 Wasps on the UK register, including one based just down the road at North Weald.
