Certainly quite clear skies - US Eclipse came over at 27000' at about 8pm, though there'd be no chance - little white dot stood out clearly. As did the strangely quiet A400 that followed it eastbound a few minutes later...

Just had a quick look at the Shoreham webcam - several aircraft in the Gatwick Willo hold or downwind for 08 from Timba and the strobes of a Gulf Air 787 visible outbound Heathrow 40+ miles to the NE. Amazing how much detail it picks up at night. Quite a bright star as well

Edit: bright star probably Jupiter which I've just been examining through my telescope!

Followed a Chinook yesterday evening from somewhere near Aldeburgh to Woodbridge where it landed. Then on to Wattisham where it landed again. It left the area flying over central London towards what I'm guessing might be Odiham. An RAF C17 just left these shores flying approx.NE.

Enjoying my brekkers in the pub and the wind in the right direction to carry the sound of Spit G-AWGB getting airborne and G-BMSB doing an overhead join three of four miles to the east. Audible over the traffic out on the road and no screaming brats running amok in here. Nice view of 'MSB turning downwind too...

I had a heads up from an ATC friend about a flight of three B2s heading northwest, to the south of Calgary. Too far away for me to see.

DEATH formation. Call signs 11, 12 and 13.

Polish AF PZL Swidnick W3A allegedly hovering 2000ft over/near RAF Benson. I've looked out my upstairs windows, no sign.....?

Heading to Reading (that rhymes) according to FR24.

Disappointingly, it appears to be an RAF Chinook with a dodgy transponder.

This evening there are two USAF C130Js out to play over Norfolk and appear to be doing low manaevres over Sculthorpe before going out to sea.Now one of them appears to have landed at Sculthorpe and switched its transponder off.

WESTLAND Scout over Thacham above FL530 must have some serious mods to get to that altitude

Now seems to have made a rapid (very ) descent to 1300ft. Or did the passenger give the transponder an accidental kick?

Earlier this year a group of us rented a farm house just by Walsingham and the C130's came over regular as clockwork most evenings, forget 500ft they could trim the taller trees on the hill behind the house, by the end of the week tables and chairs set up wine at the ready and toast them on each pass, great fun and an easy way to use up the surplus wine. Told later that they were special forces Herc's, long may they reign!,

Special Forces C130s are almost the norm over East Anglia and low level over Sculthorpe also the norm but but I've never seen one land before.

Air Tractor out of Akrotiri EC-NRD. Also last night a Watchkeeper was circling the sea just south of the Station.

Seems to be a few Shoreham webcams. Would be interested to know which one can see aircraft holding over Gatwick, so can you post the link pretty please.
Thanks!
