Interesting aircraft - what have you seen on your computer today?

I'm in Lightwater at present and heard the two C-130Hs pass more or less overhead! Nicer than the C130J bandsaw buzz...

The EMB was pretty high but sounded quite muted to me.

I believe the Thunderscreech needed to be several miles distant to be bearable, was there not a story about severe injury or even death for a one poor Air Force guy who copped an earful closeup?

Loudest aircraft I can recall hearing is probably the AN-22... or maybe the Space Shuttle setting sail from Cape Kennedy...

Yes, around 50 of them on the UK register.

Did you see the fourth attempt? I was lucky, just happened to be in the area during the first post-Challenger launch, watched from beach at Patrick AFB, still pretty loud!

Heard a Spitfire leaving Biggin just now, is it me or slightly different sound? It was actually their Mustang! First time I've heard it since it joined the team at Biggin.

See the Zeppelin is back and busy doing rides (presumably) out of Damyn's Hall. If it has a modern lighting system for advertising at night, I assume it's a LED Zeppelin...

Bit like the Vanguard then ...

I believe the Viscount's Darts, at 15,000rpm, were supersonic at the tips as well.

I don't think that was the case.

RNZAF New Zealand Air Force C-130 Hercules just now overhead London City at altitude but audible, westbound.

That's an awful long way from home for a turboprop.

It arrived at Brize Norton in mid-April, via Honolulu, Sacramento and Halifax, since when it's spent much of its time shuttling between Slovakia and Finland, returning occasionally to BZZ.

We're being invaded! By the Swiss! I can see five Swiss Army/AF EC-135s have crossed into Kent/Essex and heading north. An urgent delivery of penknives?

Pleased to see one of the new Spitfire T9s out of Biggin the other day, G-CLXB I think, restored from a wreck recovered in France. I believe G-AVAV has gone to new owners in Holland.

They are 4 x EC-135 and 1 x AS332, all heading to Edinburgh via Humberside.

Do they all fold neatly into the fuselage?

Statistically, most likely to be runway not clear, either from the preceding lander or a departure.

FR24 replay might help.
