Good to see the Airvan airborne from Biggin, presumably on a maintenance flight. I trust their Spitfires will be back in the air very soon - I miss the sound of Merlins in the morning... and afternoon... and evening!
REDARR10 Airborne over Lincolnshire (it could be more of them). Apparently out of Waddington where they have deployed for a couple of weeks to see if everyone else there can live with them permanently

I think that it operates for 'one of those' outfits that do daring deeds in dangerous places and it has been anonymised for hiding in plain sight.
The only DHC-7 that comes to mind was Brymon operating into LCY years ago, but I also remember them with Tyrolean (?) in the past. Oh and Widerōe in the very north of Norway going to Svalbard. No others come up. Anyone ? Perhaps some feeder airlines in the USA ?

FAA registration record shows registrant as simply "US GOVERNMENT", but the address is a giveway: "HQ USAINSCOM ATTN ACOFS G4 IALO-T, FORT BELVOIR".

Brymon took 'em into Heathrow as well as I recall before LCY got started. There was another UK operator whose name escapes me with a pinstripe suit and tie logo. Also Yemen Airways had some, I saw one on delivery around 1980. And the Canadian Armed Forces.

I recall AirBC was looking into a sched from YVR to Pemberton, a 30 minute drive north of Whistler, in 1988 with the hopes of using MLS to get into the valley aerodrome that is surrounded by mountainous terrain. If memory serves the service never took hold.

Turkish AF C-130E just droned across eastern London out of Prestwick. Didn't hear a thing down here in the southern suburbs.
Regarding the noisy Dash7 inside, across 40 years I can still remember that Yemeni delivery flight seeming very quiet for a 4 engined turboprop. Probably up about 20000' I should think.

If they realy wanted to hide it in plain sight they would have registered it to Air America
To be precise, it was London City Airways, a British Midland operation. Unsuccessful in the early LCY days, they rebranded to British Midland for a short while. But it was a well-conceived livery from a marketing view, everyone around seemed to have noticed it. First seen at the opening ceremony for London City, when an LCA and a Brymon Dash 7 flew in close formation minimum speed low level both ways over the LCY crowd before landing.
Did I say close formation ? Read VERY close formation. Harry Gee driving the Brymon one again, just as he did when the did the demo landing where Canary Wharf offices are now.
