Driving into Helston from the West this afternoon (8 Sep) I spotted an Atlas overshooting at Culdrose, then climbing out to the North - certainly never seen one down here before. Then driving back about 45 mins later I saw it again. Whether it had landed in the interim I don't know, but it certainly made a change from Merlins, Hawks and Avengers

And yesterday morning as well. I wonder if the Reapers weren't suitable for the task. The private drone still seems to be doing the night shift though. I wish the French would just stop the people from leaving their coast, it's costing so much money all told.

I said elsewhere on here, it would probably be cheaper and lest risky for all involved, if we just sent a weekly ferry to pick them up. At least we could control where they landed

Though of course most Avengers hadn't been anywhere near Grummans either - which is why, more often than not, the aircraft gets referred to as the TBM (M = General Motors) rather than the TBF.

Hurricane LF363 on its way home from Guernsey via a stop at Bournemouth. Just abeam Southampton heading roughly towards Basingstoke.

...and it's just coincided with Spitfire P7350 near Aylesbury. They seem to have been passing ships...

Two DH89A in close formation over Central London at 1,700 ft. Pleasant sight and sound. G-AIYR and another, presumably from Duxford.

It was a QRA scramble. Two Russian Navy Tu-142 Bear Fs over the North Sea. Typhoons scrambled out of Leuchars.
