Miles Falcon G-AEEG passed south of me a few minutes ago, might have just seen the wonderful machine had I known. Used to be a Biggin resident, last I recall she was at Old Warden with Peter Holloway.

Back with Shipping & Airlines at Biggin.

Been quite a bit of general USAF activity around East-danglia these past few days. V22s, the usual F15 suspects + plus what sound like several Hercs and 135's + maybe others - more so than usual! Even had a Chinook (RAF) going "rogue and reckless" in the heart of Army RW territory ....... defying the "Injuns" with a blatant low-level "wokka" North-bound at Vne + a bit!

Sad when what was "normal" is now "Wow!!!!".

Of course, never ever saw it in the real good 'ol days of the 60's thru 80's!

AgustaWestland AW109SP G-FRRN just before >6pm 1400 feet just skimming south Bracknell , very nice looking like an ' arty ' Asian airliner ( livery) , east west from Battersea TO. 5.45 , drop off at Sulhamstead , then back SE to Biggin landing at 6.30pm.

Atlas ZM417 has been pounding the beat at Jersey and Guernsey, now descending through 4000' to east of Biggin - are we getting a visitor?

Yup!

Wish the Ospreys would do some circuit bashing down this way...!

We had two pairs of Chinooks and a Puma around us yesterday. I could not get the Chinooks on ADS-B Exchange but I did hear them. Both lots went over my son's house and he says they were at no more than 100ft. He sent me a photo, looked more like 150ft to me. The Puma was at about 250ft and came up on ADS-B.

I was nice to see (hear) the RAF operating in LFA 18 again.

The Atlas did three approaches at Biggin - missed all of them, probably too far off on the first two circuits which looked to be around Cherokee-sized and distracted for the third go around which must have been visible from me bedroom. Sauntered over at about 9000 on its way back to Brize where it's about to land... Didn't have my camera handy but you all know what one looks like.

Merlin clattered past me a while back, westerly direction towards Guildford. Very coy, no show on ADSB that I could see...

Just came overhead the house, an A380. Haven't seen one for months. Emirates 3, inbound from Dubai into LHR. It's funny, you look at things like this and wonder if they are a sign of starting getting back to normal.

I saw a large lump in the sky off to the west, turning out from Heathrow around 9.30pm, wondered if it was the Emirates A380 on its way home - yep!

Another sign of normality creeping ever close, the landing lights of three EasyJets inbound 26 at Gatwick in short succession - also around 9.30pm. Loads of BA A319/320/321 inbound Heathrow via Biggin... Things used to be peaceful around these parts...

Emirates re-started a daily DXB/LHR on the 15th July. China Southern also have a weekly A380 to/from Guangzhou on Wednesdays, plus the odd ad-hoc.

Indeed. I see that it was the first such Emirates 3, restarted 1st August, but Emirates 1 became an A380 again a couple of weeks beforehand. Wonder what their loads and yields are.

The AN-225 is currently heading SSE and about to overfly Manchester - any chance of a squiz for us in the SE?

Still on same heading passing Oxford at 33000', Reading, Worthing in line for an overflight...

Bugger! Too much bloody cloud and assume it wasn't trailing...

Actually, think I may well have seen it, something quite large trailing a bit further further west than I was expecting and a slightly different angle. Two Ryan Air 737s were the only aircraft in the vicinity following pretty much the same route. Shame there was so much cloud...

Just after 16:05 yesterday (Sat 1 Aug, running a bit late) over Frimley Park Hospital. I was out on a bike ride, at first I thought that there had been a fire alarm go off at the hospital due to the number of people standing around outside, then I remembered reading about the flight.......
