No, the "home" icon is randomly positioned (as you may be able to deduce from my sig).

For info, and probably NOT the a/c seen by trident3A, B-727 M-STAR positioned Hurn to Lasham on Wednesday. Landed c.1526, Lasham on 27.

I have seen that one a few times, I believe that and its sister aircraft are the last two 727s on the UK register.

You'll have some 3-legged folk along shortly incandescent at being referred to as from the UK ;-)

A BA 777 came into LHR this morning on delivery from Seattle. I'd thought that all 777's had been supplanted with 787's and A350's by now, but obviously not the case!

Agreed:

Seems to have flown close to my house, though, now that I've moved from Slough.

Today's delivery was the 14th of BA's order for 16 777-300ERs - with deliveries spanning 10 years so far!

The last of the non-ER 777-200s left the fleet earlier this year, but just over half of the 40-odd 777-200ERs are still active, with the remainder grounded at Heathrow/Gatwick/Cardiff.

Don't forget G-OSRA and G-OSRB. Both regular visitors to Lasham. I couldn't help noticing easyJet had a flight out of Lasham yesterday to EMA and another the previous day.

Yes. This week's runway is 09R (in use earlier in the week) or, for preference, 27L.

Plan is to remain on single runway ops during present lockdown as movements have reduced significantly. Runway in use will alternate each week in accordance with landing alternation pattern so 09L/27R will be used next week. Situation will be reviewed towards end of lockdown when movements likely to increase afterwards so possibly reverting to dual runway ops.again.

Indeed - yesterday's movement count was well under half that of a couple of weeks ago at the start of the Winter season.

Just seen a VIR B747 overflying Jersey, heading towards EGLL, presumably. Any info. would be appreciated. Thought that they had all been taken out of service.

End of lease checks for G-VROY at the Virgin hangar at LHR. It's the third one that's been in since COVID.

Thanks very much for that, Skipness. My next question : where has it been & what has it been doing over the last two or three months ?

Apologies for my usual "me too!', but...me too! I saw it float gracefully by on long finals and did wonder if my eyesight was correct, thinking I'd seen a 777 of 350 until it's chubbiness was fully visible. I'm guessing that it's off to Manila rather than revenue service.

It turned off its westerly leg from Biggin over the top of me but I was busy doing something!

I believe it's just a short return to LHR for maintenance. It previously returned for a few days in August before going back to Chateauroux, and most of BA's other A380s have done the same at least once since July.

It's unlikely to be going to LHT in Manila as it spent a month there at the beginning of the year.
