Well, it is PPRuNe after all Dave

I shall soon find out as the first of 25 or so expected is now in the paintshop at an airport near me. Might just be a new coat of paint, same livery.

I just saw a Maltese registered Ryanair plane fly by and leading a sheltered life, hadn't realised that they had any aircraft NOT on the Irish register. When did this happen and why ? I also saw, by chance, one of the Ryanair Sun steeds yesterday.

They invested in Malta Air around June 2019 I believe. No doubt a quick google will give you more facts.

Currently there are over 30 aircraft re-registered in Malta, with more to follow. https://www.planespotters.net/airline/Malta-Air

Ryanair bought the STN based carrier Buzz years ago - Guess they retained the rights of the name
