Stored Boeing 737 8Max and 9 Max

Learned contributors,
Has anyone found a list of which B737 Max’s that have been delivered are being stored where?
Thanks for your time and trouble.
Be lucky
David

There are five TUI parked at MAN and one is stuck at TFS (TUI UK MAX fleet)

TUI Belgium had 2 stranded one at ALC and one at BLQ
TUI Netherlands, TUI fly. Two aircraft are stranded on Las Palmas and Sofia, a third MAX is at Schiphol airport. the plane stranded on Gran Canaria was to be flown empty to Schiphol.

The Smartwings fleet of 7 or 8 based at Prague - one was stranded at Tunis and another at Ankara -

not sure if TUI or SW got any back but ferry flights in EU were banned soon after the EASA grounding

The stored Max 8/9 fleet is distributed across more than 100 different locations.

Victorville and Guangzhou are the fields with the most aircraft, both with around 30 airframes.

But if Boeing are producing 40 or more per month, where are they putting them all?

It's not quite as bad as that. Boeing still have an order backlog of around 100 NGs, almost all due for delivery this year, so there will be about a dozen aircraft per month still being delivered to customers.

There have been very few, if any, Max aircraft repositioned over the last couple of weeks, so still more than 100 different locations hosting one or more grounded aircraft.

I'm no technical expert, but how will Boeing get around the world and update the aircraft and sims? It's not as though you're updating IOS or Windows. Additionally the longer the aircraft are grounded the more rigorous the checks will have to be before they're allowed back in the sky with passengers.

Surely pilots will have to be retrained and the CAA etc will have to approve the updates, something that seems to have been lacking on the part of Boeing. I can't see them taking to the skies during this summer season. There is also the problem of passenger confidence, many talk of refusing to fly onboard. Intersting times ahead.

Boeing will not be going anywhere the updates will be done by local maintenance personnel & it’s exactly like updating widows, plug in the maintenance laptop & upload the required software.

Runway 11-29 at Paine Field is a parking lot. Again. It has to be 10 years since it's been open, between storing 787s, 747-8s, KC-46s, and now MAX.

Fuselages are accumulating at railroad sidings.

I understand from people who work at Manchester that the Max’s in storage are receiving no maintenance during their enforced inactivity. They will therefore surely require significant MX before flight irrespective of any software updates or modifications required to regain certification.
Comments and observations appreciated.
Thanks for your time and trouble

If the first part is true, then the second will be.

That said, the AMM will contain details of the periodic maintenance that needs to be done on aircraft that aren't flying for a while, and it's hard to believe that isn't being done.

Has anyone seen photos of Max aircraft parked at MAN with flat tyres ?

I believe all parked Maxes are undergoing a weekly engine test, wherever they are.

Ryanair Max are now rolling out the factory with the word MAX dropped from the front , instead it has 737-8200.

This is so funny. There's already so much in the media about this rebranding that passengers, bar maybe a few, will know that the 8200 is in fact a MAX. Big waste of time!

It's not a rebranding.

It's a designation for the option that was announced 5 years ago (before the Max even flew) for a high-capacity (197-seat) Max 8 with additional rear emergency exits.

September 2014: Boeing Launches 737 MAX 200 with Ryanair

Ryanair's initial 189-seat aircraft will presumably say 737-8, but that's not a rebranding either, it's what the aircraft is certificated as.
